Whitney Houston‘s big comeback is years overdue, but it will finally happen on September 1 when the world renowned diva releases I Look To You, her first studio album in seven years. The cover art for the album was just revealed today on Houston’s official website.
With her hair in wind-swept curls and a slight smile on her face, Whitney looks better than she has in years. Her long time mentor Clive Davis sat down with Good Morning America this week to talk about her return and where she’ll fit in with the Beyonces and Rihannas of the world.
“What I want the public to most know is that there’s always room for creative artistry, there’s always room for a great all-time singer,” he said. “An all-time singer singing great songs.”
And what about the new album? “You won’t forget it after you hear it. There is a song on this album which is called ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength‘ and it really speaks for Whitney. She tumbled but she didn’t crumble.”
Houston will kick off GMA’s fall concert series in September.
