Walt Disney Records is making sure things get a little magical with the release of the soundtrack to the Emmy nominated sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place. The Disney Channel original series fronted by singer/actress Selena Gomez has had a successful run so far. Now in its second season, it’s ranked as one of the top children’s series.
To make sure it does just as well in the music world, Disney has compiled some old and new songs with a magical theme performed by some familiar faces. Show star Selena Gomez will make multiple appearances on the soundtrack with songs like Magic, Disappear and the Wizards theme song.
Fellow Disney stars Mitchel Musso, Raven-Symone and Aly & AJ (now known as 78violet) are also on the album. Look for the soundtrack to be available online and in stores August 4th.
