They’re on their way to splitsville, but Nas and Kelis still have one thing that will keep them together forever: a brand new baby boy!
The former couple, who is in the middle of a nasty divorce, welcomed their first child together Tuesday (July 21). Knight Jones was born at 9pm, weighing in at 7.8 pounds, a rep for Kelis told US Weekly.
Before Kelis could release a formal statement with the baby’s name and birth stats, a beaming Nas announced his son’s birth via an internet video.
“My son is born today! So, shout out to my son, Knight,” he said in the lengthy video shot in his Queens, NY neighborhood.
No word on whether or not Nas has actually seen his son yet, but reports suggest he was denied access to the hospital room to watch his son’s birth.
Too bad Nas couldn’t be there to see his son…
