When you’ve been a working actress since the age of 6 like Demi Lovato, your success is sure to leave you with a gang of haters. Demi, who once suffered at the hands of bullies, spoke out about it on her appearance of The View.
“For awhile there, I had no idea why because people would say ‘Oh, they’re just jealous girls.’ You don’t like to hear that, you want to know a reason,” she said of her experience being bullied in the 7th grade. “So you just keep pinning it on yourself.”
She eventually realized it was just jealousy: “I remember looking back and asking the girls ‘Why are you doing this to me?’ and they didn’t have a reason.”
Now older and wiser, Demi wants to make sure her sister doesn’t go through the same thing. “She’s just at the age where she knows how to use a computer and that can be kind of detrimental to young girls when you’re growing up especially when you have haters on the internet saying mean things about you.”
“My best advice to her one day I just told her they mean nothing.”

Demi’s sophomore album Here We Go Again is in stores now.

OMG…..I totally understand what Demi is talking about….I get bullied also….and I am in the 8th grade….and I want to know why aswell……I mean is it because I’m not being as loud as them and I do my work…..I mean why??…..But I realized in 7th grade (because I was getting picked on every since the end of 5th grade because I gettign chubby) they are just jealous and now that I lost weight they just stare at me and talk about me and my Best Friend……but they mean nothing…..because they are going to end up being nothing but a hater and when I (or whoever) becomes famous (but for me I would love to become a famous actress) that they are going to ask themselves why were they picking on me (or anyone)…..so to all of the girls who are getting bullied just know that they are jealous and the reason is becuase they want to act and be you!!!….

OMG UR LIKE ME i was bullied in fifth grade, moved and transferred schools, then was teased again all the way to seventh grade (mostly by boys, i mean girls were kind of mean but i had more problems with girls in fifth grade. 6th-7th it was all boys saying anything and everything to me to make me cry). gosh i was such a crybaby lol but once i hit eighth grade i realized something… i noticed that when a boy said something mean about me or to me the ppl around me laughed. i started to wonder why do they think it’s so funny, then i REALLY realized that school and what they were saying was nothing but a comedy act and the audience were getting a good laugh out of it like you and i do at a funny TV show. when i made it to eighth grade I even started to laugh at some of the things they said and guess what, i received a lot more respect from then on. I’m in 10th grade now and sure random ppl i don’t even know (mostly boys) always try and mess with me but as long as i remember that i only have two more years and to show NO mercy I’ll be fine, i have to anyways cause my sister(my rock) is about to graduate lol sorry for the speech lol i just wanted to share my situation too and how instead of saying they’re just jealous i put it all behind me and remembered why i rrly was in school… to learn and graduate not to make friends. i think that’s what’s wrong with kids today, they watch shows like Hannah Montana and iCarly and think oh school is supposed to be like that I’m supposed to have friends and i feel like that ruins kids when they actually have to go to those schools and get bullied and picked on they wonder well Miley Stewart and Carly Shay aren’t getting picked on in school so why am i? I’m not saying the shows are supposed to be cruel and have bad messages but they need to be more real. i don’t ever compare a TV show to my life EVER!!!! again sorry for speech lol it’s just you got me typing man lol
I was once bullied since 6th grade. Then I moved to another school on 7th grade. I was bullied too for 3 years by three girls. No reason. They just did that to me. I was a care less girl back then. I don’t avoid them. I just let it flow. I realized that I was bullied on 10th grade. I hate them :( I wish I fought them that time. They thought I was afraid of them. One of them, the evil girl always persuade the others to hate person she hated. I always wish I don’t get to see her then on 10th grade she and one of the MISS BULLY failed and move to another school. Since then, I became a very fierce girl. Act boyish and wish to be a strong girl. So whenever people tried to bully me, they will think twice. :D
I think haters of artist (such as Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, etc) who were writing hate and against them are kind of bullying too. The artists may feel uncomfortable reading those. So I wish the internet user block haters’ website and comment. They are internet junks. Because they comment everywhere with no specific reason and once they post those, they will be forgotten and just be internet junks. Say no to bullying people! :)
