Drake “Well” After Collapsing On Stage In Philadelphia
Drake took a nasty spill while performing on stage at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey (outside of Philadelphia) Friday evening (July 31).
The rapper was performing as a part of Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy’s “America’s Most Wanted Music Festival” tour when he tried dancing across the stage on an already injured knee and collapsed. Security and additional aide was called to help Drake off the stage.
Lil Wayne came out to smooth things over for the confused crowd. “This n-gga really got a bad leg! I thought that sh-t was only on a TV show,” he said referring to Drake’s wheelchair-bound character on the Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation.
As word of his injury spread, fans began to worry about the condition of Drake’s knee; he suffered a torn ACL while playing basketball in June and was told by doctors to sit the tour out. Drake took to his Twitter to let his supporters know he was fine. “All is well…on the bus laying down…getting surgery this week but I’m walking,” he tweeted before thanking his Young Money Records family.
