Video: Coldplay Pays Tribute Michael Jackson, Beastie Boys At All Points West Festival

Coldplay electrified the crowd at the closing night of the All Points West Festival in New Jersey Sunday night (August 2). Their original material would have been good enough for the audience, but the British band’s cover songs almost stole the show.

Tribute was paid to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, with an interesting acoustic cover of “Billie Jean” (above).

With the Beastie Boys pulling out of the festival due to member Adam Yauch‘s recent cancer diagnosis, many artists on the bill paid tribute to the legendary rap group. Earlier in their set Sunday, Chris Martin sat at his piano for a slow cover of the Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right To Party” (below).
