Video: Drake Performs On Lil Wayne Tour In Toronto Despite Injured Knee

When Drake blogged that he would continue to push himself beyond his limits despite advice, he wasn’t kidding.

Still facing surgery to mend several torn ligaments in his knee, which were further agitated by a very public on stage fall, the 22-year-old rapper joined his mentor Lil Wayne during his set on the America’s Most Wanted Music tour last night in Toronto, Canada.

Drake, who is a Toronto native, told the crowd he had to show his hometown some love regardless of doctors’ orders to sit the tour out. “There’s no f-ckin’ way I’m not coming out [for Toronto],” he said, igniting an inferno of applause.

Being a bit more cautious than he had been previously, Drake performed songs like “Best I Ever Had,” “Every Girl,” and “Successful” with Trey Songz on a stool and exited the stage using a cane.

Still no official word on whether or not Drake will perform with the tour again or just make spotted appearances.
