Mariah Carey Performs “Obsessed” On America’s Got Talent

You probably smiled seeing a giddy, cheesy Nick Cannon introduce his wife Mariah Carey’s performance on America’s Got Talent. Aww, youngish love right? When Mariah actually took the stage to perform, your smile was probably still there. Her hair? Cute! Outfit? Cute–although not too age appropriate. But your smile probably faded when Mimi’s performance of her newest single Obsessed got under way.
The low energy dance moves and pained look while performing is becoming all too familiar for a Mariah performance. On the positive side, an even giddier Nick returned to the stage once the performance wrapped.
“I don’t care what nobody says, that song is about me ‘cus I’m obsessed,” Nick gushed. How cute! That alone is worth checking out the video.

If I could rate this article, it would probably be a “no star what so ever”, It obvious you have no idea at all about music, so I really think you should keep your thoughts to yourself. Mariah is the best singer, i’ve been on her team since 1990 and i love and respect her vocals, this amazing women has given the world her voice for 20 years STRAIGHT, something that many other artists of her stature have not been blessed to do, so i say to all the nay sayers, RESPECT this woman for the voice, philanthropy, and person that she is. As far as the Obsessed performance last night, i thought it was brilliant and that she is still getting her groove back on the stage by moving better.
What has happen to the America’s Got Talent? When did it become the Nick Cannon Show? He is on camera more than the contestants. Why do we need to go back stage and get his one or two word comments while the contestants are on stage doing their act. I do believe he’s even getting more air time then the judges. If this is the way your show is now going to be, I’m sorry you have now lost me as a viewer. Please limit the unnecessary on camera of him and more of the individuals who are trying so hard to be shown. If you recall the title is America’s Got Talent. Bring back Jerry Springer.At least Jerry did not yell or comment constantly.

Yall are so stupid. ugh. first of all obsessed is not about vocals….the verses are just spoken almost rapped so it needs to be layered in order for them to be heard correctly and some of the lines are so close that it requires alot of breathing at times. secondly what is your concern about her age…and her fucking biological clock. you’re sitting here typing about her because you don’t have a life…she is cute. AND WHAT THE FUCK IS ACTING YOUR AGE!?? just because when you get her age you wont be able to look good doing the things that she does dont hate…jealous ass! and she can wear whatever she wants…SHES MARIAH DAMN CAREY (…Cannon!) you FOOL! uhm…dude thats awesome that you think so highly of her…but that performance sucked. it was lypsynched. and she has sold her soul cause there wasn’t any trace of soul in that performance.. she USED to be an amazing singer. but if those backup dancers weren’t there…it would have looked amateur.

Not a great showcase of her voice. I would think an entertainer of her caliber would not waist her energy on such a forgettable song.
