Second, Kris Allen’s take on Kanye West’s “Heartless” was brilliant and original. KAREN, the only negative comments about Kris are coming from you. You’re sinking as low as to talk about his clothing. You have nothing better to do? There was NOTHING special about Kanye West’s original version or “Heartless”, and it is a good song, and Kris Allen sang it the way it SHOULD have been sung. Obviously, Kris doesn’t have the range of Adam and David, but that doesn’t make him any less of a musician. He has this deep, bass register that he doesn’t use much, but when he does it sounds great. Kris Allen is a clever, creative artist with a ton of potential.

Obviously, David ruled the stage, because he’s been doing this for a year now. I think putting these three together who have completely different styles/musical tastes, and comparing them doesn’t make sense. It’s like comparing Michael Jackson to Jason Mraz to Chris Daughtry. It doesn’t make any sense. I thought Adam’s version of “Starlight” was good… it was actually kind of sad this time, but I prefer the faster version. Kris Allen’s “Heartless” was spot-on key and sounded great. David Cook’s “Come Back To Me” was perfection. I thought all the three of them together… Adam looked a tad out of place, I don’t think he knew what to do with himself, because the last song was just David Cook pretty much everywhere, and Adam’s used to being the performing one. Kris, I thought, performing-wise has improved so much. As for clothing, Adam’s was a little overboard, this is freaking NYC Central Park, what the hell is wrong with dressing comfortable and wearing a plaid shirt? I thought Kris looked so gorgeous, and the pink works on David.
