Mariah Carey‘s promotional schedule for her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, has been plagued with surprise postponements, but fans need not worry. Mariah is still releasing her long-awaited album only at the later date of September 29 (the album was originally scheduled for a August 25 release). But not only is the album getting a new release date, it’s getting a new “first” single.
Showbiz411 reports, MiMi will release a cover of the Foreigner power ballad “I Want to Know What Love Is,” as the official first single from the “ballad-centric” set. “By the time its run is over, a new generation will think ‘I Want to Know What Love Is’ is a Mariah Carey song,” Showbiz‘s Roger Friedman says of the song.
While revealing the details of the new single, Friedman also reported the tracklist for the first time, which is:Â “Betcha,” “Obsessed,” “H.A.T.E.U.,” “Candy Bling,” “Ribbon,” “Standing O’s,” “Impossible,” “It’s a Wrap,” “Inseparable,” “Up Out My Face,” “More than Just Friends,” and “Angels Cry.”

Oh I loved that song, hope she does it justice. ;-) I usually love Mariah’s ballads….it’s when she does silly gimmicky songs like Obsessed and Touch My Body that she loses me. Can’t wait MiMi!
Love her. I do like the sassy, Touch My Body , Obsessed since its fun to sing along . But I agree shes in her element with the ballads. Cant WaIT!
