Video: Heidi Montag Assaults Miss Universe Competition With Her “Music,” Insults Kelly Rowland With Mix-up

Millions tuned into the 2009 Miss Universe pageant to see Miss Venezuela walk away with the crown and sash for the second straight year, but they’d be lying if they didn’t admit part of them wanted to watch reality TV star-turn-wannabe singer Heidi Montag perform her single, “Body Language,” for the first time.
And it was well worth the wait — in terms of sheer hilarity, that is. Montag positively assaulted the program with her dancing that looked like it could be found at a elementary school recital, and the abysmal lip-synching into a head mic.
Montag’s reign of terror didn’t stop there. While being introduced to fellow performer Kelly Rowland — who, in contrast, did an excellent job performing her international smash “When Love Takes Over” with DJ David Guetta — she mixed her up with her former Destiny’s Child band-mate Michelle Williams, telling Rowland how much she likes her gospel album. Rowland has released two solo albums — neither is gospel. Williams, on the other hand, has released two gospel-flavored albums.
“I mean c’mon Heidi,” Rowland tweeted following the show. “I wanted to tell her, ‘my dear, wrong girl..try again’..but I let her be. We must laugh and keep it moving right?”
Absolutely right, Kels. And that’s what many will do after watching this performance: laugh and keep it moving.
