Ladies and gentlemen, Mariah Carey is back!
After the not-so-warm reception of her “buzz” single, “Obsessed,” MiMi got back into the ballad saddle to deliver one hell of a power-ballad in the form of a cover of Foreigner’s “I Want To Know What Love Is.”
The song, which is now slated as the first single from MC’s upcoming Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, due September 29, sounds like something Mariah would have created in the 90’s: big, sweeping vocals, gospel choir backing, bust your eardrum high-note. It’s classic MC and damn! Is it good to have it back in action.

ok so i’m glad the writer has given mc her props for “i want to know what love is” however, i dont get the labeling of obsessed so with a not so warm reception. it debut very high and it is in the top 10. how the hell is the not so warm reception. not every damn single will be a #1. you’re holding her to toooooo high of a standard.
