Video: Ne-Yo, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry And Cobra Starship Go Broadway For MTV’s VMA Side Story

Only MTV can gather hot young stars like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Ne-Yo for some elaborate promo videos for its biggest awards show of the year.

The MTV Video Music Awards will take place in less than a month in New York City at Radio City Music Hall. Only minutes away, acting and singing combine on Broadway. MTV took this concept and came up with its take on the famous West Side Story with their very own VMA Side Story.

Ne-Yo channels his inner Michael Jackson, a scissor crazed Katy Perry mutilates a bush and Taylor Swift delivers a show stopping closer in this musical number. Cobra Starship, Leighton Meester and show host Russell Brand also show up for the fun.

The VMAs will air live Sunday, September 13th on MTV.
