Miley Cyrus Brings The ‘Party’ To The Today Show

That little pole dancing incident obviously didn’t scare too many parents away from letting their kids listen to Miley Cyrus, as hundreds of them with their little ones packed a the rainy Rockefeller Plaza to see the 16-year-old singer/actress perform on the Today Show summer concert series Friday morning.
A bit of a subdued Miley performed tracks from a number of her musical efforts, kicking things off with “Party In The USA” from her upcoming Walmart exclusive LP, Time of Our Lives, in stored September 1.
“This record for me kind of was more a step towards what I want to do with my next album,” Cyrus told Today Show host Matt Lauer. “This mainly was kind of written just as inspiration for the clothing line. ‘Party in the USA’ has definitely done very well and I’m stoked about that, but it’s not who I am. It’s not necessarily the kind of music I want to continue to do.”
She also performed her smash “The Climb,” “See You Again,” and another new one, “Kicking and Screaming.”
