If you’re following American Idol season eight winner Kris Allen on Twitter, you’ve noticed he can get pretty random.
“I fell asleep watching Free Willy…woke up with tears of joy on my pillow,” Kris tweeted yesterday. Just one of many wonderfully random–and possibly dirty–things he’s shared via the micro-blogging website.
But it was his revealing tweet made earlier this week that sent his fans into a frenzy: he shared just when his highly anticipated debut album will be released!
“Hey guys! The album is set to release Nov 17th,” Allen told his fans. Let the countdown begin!

28-year-old singer Christina Aguilera has been relatively quiet since the fanfare surrounding her greatest hits album, Keeps Gettin’ Better: A Decade of Hits, died down earlier this year. But all that’s about to change.
The powerhouse vocalist, who has been hard at work on her new album, sat down with E! for an eye opening chat on Christina Aguilera: An E! Entertainment Special.
During the interview, Xtina talks about the work on the new project, becoming a mother and she gets emotional when talking about her husband Jordan Bratman.
“Jordan just continuously makes me fall deeper and deeper in love with him everyday,” Christina said through tears. “I’m lucky to have him in my life.”
The full two-hour special is set to air on E! September 2nd at 9pm ET.
Noel Gallagher Leaves Oasis

Noel Gallagher, lead guitarist and songwriter from rock band Oasis, has decided to quit. He revealed the news in a statement posted on the band’s official website.
“It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight,” Noel wrote in the statement. Exact details for his departure we’re not given but he did go on to say: “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam [Gallagher] a day longer.”
The famously feuding Gallagher brothers and the rest of Oasis were on tour to support their latest release “Dig Out Your Soul.” In recent days, things appeared to be heading in the wrong direction with the band coming under fire after they were forced to pull out of a scheduled appearance at V Festival in Chelmsford, England due to Liam being ill.
“1st things first V I’m gutted your gutted,I’m sorry what can I say fuck all at the moment,” Liam wrote on Twitter in an apparent apology for the scrapped date.
Remaining dates on the band’s summer tour at the Rock Am See Festival in Germany and the I-Day Festival in Milan have been canceled according to Noel’s statement.
I find the American idol thing this year disturbing. Kris seems like a nice guy, it is just that he is not that good at anything. Adam on the other hand has the vocal chops to compete with anyone past or current in the music industry. Adam has iconic talent, why are we even talking about Kris? If some creepy reality show had the audacity to announce a winner that obviously did not deserve any kind of musical recognition why should we give it to him? I will not support a singer just because American Idol gave him a title. I saw him live and he does not have an ability to entertain. Adam is the next big thing.
Kris Allen is very talented. He can sing and play instruments. Adam can’t play any instruments. He didn’t teach himself to play a guitar or piano. Juar because Kris is not flashy, does not bump and grind during a performance and doesn’t wear a ton of eye shadow and eye liner, that doesn’t mean that he isn’t talented. I had rather listen and/or watch Kris sing a heartfelt song with a truly great voice. They are so different I don’t know how you can slam Kris. Adam has his place. i just don’t want to be there.
Why do Idol fans always feel the need to compare their artists? Adam and Kris are BOTH talented in different ways. You cannot even compare the two.
I think it is very narrow minded for AI fans to continue to compare Adam to Kris. I love Kris’ voice and believe I will want to buy his new release in November judging by the fact that he performs phenomenally on everything from I Want to Kiss A Girl to The Way You Look Tonight to Bright Lights to All the Things I Have Done to To Make You Feel My Love!
Not sure about Adam’s. So far he is all about bumps and grinds and his extraordinary good looks. He has a powerful voice, but so far, I just dont enjoy hearing it, especially when I have to see him climb the mike stand between his legs. I heard he wants to appear with Lady GaGa who recently performed with fireworks shooting out of her boobs. Sounds like they’d be perfect together, both indecent.
