Fashion Notes: Chris Brown’s Bow Tie Owns Twitter, But Is David Archuleta’s Better?

By now, we’ve all seen the interview. Chris Brown sat down for a televised interview for the first time since assaulting Rihanna in February last night on Larry King Live. We all watched with the hopes of coming to understand his actions and what went on that night, and to hear exactly what he was going to do to put himself in a more positive light.
For the most part, we walked away with few revelations, but many, many laughs thanks to Twitter and Brown’s choice to accessorize with a dinky baby blue bow tie. Could this have been his plan all along? Distract us from the real story of uncontrolled anger and a relationship struggling to survive through media scrutiny and court orders by wearing undeniably chat-worthy attire? Good job, Chris! You’re an evil genius!
As the hashtag “ChrisBrownsbowtie” continues to sit on top of Twitter’s trending topics, we wondered: can any of our other favorite male singers make the simple accessory such a phenomenon? Cue the lovely David Archuleta fans at Snarky Archies.

All you tweeters, let your bow tie jokes fly, but the mean piece of neck-wear does its job well. It makes Archie look like an irresistible piece of man candy, and it makes Breezy’s interview filled with question dodging worth watching.

ME, totally agree with you. David Archuleta is one of a kind. He is a TRUE gentleman, a BEAUTIFUL human being, an INCREDITABLE son, brother and friend. He is also an AMAZING singer/performer with a HEAVENLY voice!! Artistically he is in a Genre on his own. Personally David Archuleta is in a class of his own!! To compare David to anyone would be ludicrous!!!!!

Chris Brown. You know the guy whose song David song on American Idol. Not well neither might I add. He is an asshole and abuser but he has more hits figuratively and literally than precious Archuleta anyday.
You are correct -Chris Brown has more HITS -that’s why he should be in jail. His “talent” is manufactured and auto-tuned. Have you heard him live? I did in NYC -he can’t sing. Amazingly enough David Archuleta came on right before Brown and David was awesome! David rules with ties, talent, and personality.

To set you on the correct path…myself, I never cared for Chris or his singing. I heard him live. Sorry to say, he was NOT good. On the flip side, David can sing WITHOUT any accompaning instruments, and seriously blow-you-away with his VOICE! Best bow tie? Hands down: ARCHULETA! :-)

David is gorgeous inside and out. Chris has a life long battle with violence. He will beat women again if something to stop him doesn’t happen. Trust me. Violence is addiction. It doesn’t matter what to wear when you are in chaos inside.

Really there is no contest. Chris Brown and David Archuleta are not even in the same league. Chris Brown has shown some pretty despicable behavior and for anyone to defend that is absurd.
David Archuleta, although human and I am sure not perfect (even though some would argue that point), has shown behavior worthy of praise. He is a gentleman through and through and his care of how he treats others is to be emulated.
Bow tie-wise, David’s is fresh looking; Chris’s not so much and yeah I wonder if he was using that “getup” to sweeten’ up his image.
As far as their vocal abilities, well David Archuleta can actually sing acapella and create his own music as anyone who has heard him live can attest to. I have not heard Chris live but have heard he doesn’t have that ability.
Here’s hoping Chris Brown gets the help he needs and that Rihanna stays clear as this is something he has to do for himself.

To be completely honest, I’m not sure what you people see. That silver bowtie with that outfit is horrible, and its a clip on at that. Seriously if you’re going to wear a bowtie, at least tie it yourself. its not supposed to look perfectly tied. Now i won’t condone anything chris brown has done or really that outfit at all, but i have to give props in that I can tell that bowtie is not a clip on, its pretty obvious. And although the color choices and outfit might not be the best, props on wearing a real bowtie.
