The best thing to happen on the internet this weekend? Chris Brown joined Twitter.
The 20-year-old hitmaker popped up on the social networking site early Friday morning and quickly got his account verified as legit. He’s already used his account to reveal many things about himself — beyond his obvious love for typing in all caps a la Kanye West.
His thoughts on auto-tune: “WHO CARES… IM A REAL SINGER SO I DONT NEED IT TO SING.LOL. ITS FUN TO USE SOME TIMES. HATERS KICK ROCKS.”
Where he stands on skinny jeans: “LOVE SKINNY JEANS: not too skinny though. gotta let the kids breathe…lol old guys cant wear skinnies… u know why??? becuz they OLD.”
But the best revelation he made was in regards to his third album, Graffiti: “GRAFFITI!!!! COMIN SOON…. JUST FINISHED IT…HANDS DOWN … MY BEST ALBUM… THATS ALL IMA GIVE AWAY RIGHT NOW..”
Brown has worked on Graffiti for over a year with many tracks slated for the album leaking early. Fans have patiently waited for an official first single to be announced and in a live chat Sunday morning at Tinychat.com, Brown came through, announcing to chatters — that included fans and artists Sean Kingston and rapper Tyga — that Graffiti’s first single is entitled “Transformers,” and features long-time collaboration partner Lil Wayne.
Brown didn’t say much more about the single besides it would be coming soon, but did say that once it’s decided when the album would be released, fans can expect for him to hit the road on tour in February or March of 2010.
Reps for Brown’s label home, Jive Records, have yet to confirm the single or a release date for the album.
Who cares. I’m not in the mood to buy some “wife-beater’s” album. It’s bad enough the “good-reputation” that good pinned on him, and all the while he’s a total abusive asshole. It makes me sick to hear people say that he’s a victim. It’s about time someone gets retribution for abuse.
