Jermaine Jackson is still hard at work planning a splashy tribute concert for his brother, the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
The concert — which is said to celebrate Michael’s life, music, and humanitarian work, reports the Associated Press –Â is set to take place in Vienna on September 26.
When news of the concert broke last month, quite a few big names were being tossed about, among them Madonna, Whitney Houston and Lionel Richie.
In a press conference held today (September 8) at Vienna’s city hall, Jackson says he and promoters are in contact with these artists, but they have not been added to the final performer list. He did, however, confirm the participation of other big names like Mary J. Blige, Akon, and Chris Brown.
The confirmed performers are expected to sing songs from the King of Pop extraordinary catalog of music with either “Heal the World” or “We Are the World” wrapping the show for the grand finale.
