If the promise of seeing Beyonce, Lady GaGa, and Taylor Swift perform wasn’t enough for you to tune into this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, now you have an even better reason: Janet Jackson.

The pop icon will help open the awards show with a special musical tribute to her late brother, Michael Jackson, confirms MTV.

MTV won’t reveal many details about the tribute, but did refute rumors that legendary choreographer Frank Gatson will be involved.

New rumors that choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson have popped up — rumors Gibson has not denied when asked about them by fans on Twitter.

The VMAs will air live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, September 13 at 9PM.
