New Video: Jordin Sparks – SOS (Let The Music Play)

We’ve all been to a club and needed a little saving by our gal pals. Other times, we need the girls to come help us making a guy jealous. Jordin Sparks covers the extreme complexity of girls’ night out in her new single and video “SOS (Let The Music Play).”

Sparks unleashed her inner Britney Spears (or maybe Beyonce) in the video that features cameos by singer boyfriend Steph Jones and former American Idol contestant Leah LaBelle.

The single is a bit of a departure for Sparks who’s made a name for herself singing big ballads suited more for the Adult Contemporary crowd.  The new ground is also made apparent in the video. Her attempt at playful sexiness comes off as forced and a little awkward. But kudos to Jordin for trying to act her age for once.
