The splashy tribute concert for Michael Jackson planned for September 26 in Vienna at a sprawling palace is no more.

Organizers for the event announced today that the concert would instead be held in London, but would not go on until June of 2010, reports the Associated Press.

Jermaine Jackson told reporters at a press conference that the change was made because too many of the big name talents he and promoter Georg Kindel were scouting had scheduling conflicts.

Jackson announced Tuesday (September 8) that among the top performers would be Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown. Blige’s rep canned the announcement, saying she had a prior commitment in Milan to attend. Brown’s rep also put the kabash on reports. As a condition of his five years of probation for assault, Brown must have international travel court-approved. A motion for approval was never filed.

Other big names rumored for the event — Madonna, Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, and Smokey Robinson — were contacted but had not confirmed their participation.

Refunds will be issued to ticket purchasers, with tickets for the London show — which will be held at Wembley Stadium — will go on sale December 1.
