Kanye West, Jay-Z and Rihanna perform - Wireimage
Only mega superstar rapper Jay-Z could bring together the biggest names in music to participate in one jam packed show. Jay-Z’s September 11th benefit concert “Jay-Z Live From Madison Garden: Answer The Call” took place in New York City last night and some of his big named friends came out to show support.
Pop princess Rihanna joined Jay and Kanye West on stage for their hit single Run This Town. This marks Rihanna’s return to performing on the big stage since her highly publicized Grammy night blowout with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown put her career and touring plans on hold. Kanye treated the crowd to some of his very own hits with Can’t Tell Me Nothing and Good Life.
Jay-Z’s famous wife Beyonce also turned up to help her husband in what he called “a celebration of life.” She appeared on stage with several backing dancers and performed her single Diva.
Others on hand for the big night included John Mayer, who played guitar on Jay-Z’s auto-tune killing buzz cut D.O.A., Mary J Blige, Kid Cudi, Pharrell and Diddy.
