Madonna, Janet Jackson Open The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards With Michael Jackson Tribute

It was the moment every Michael Jackson fan has been waiting for and it did not disappoint. MTV opened the 2009 Video Music Awards with a moving tribute to the dearly departed King of Pop. A gang of dancers took on some of Michael’s greatest video dance moves, each dressed in a signature MJ outfit. They were later joined by his baby sister Janet Jackson for a performance of their duet Scream.
Pop icon Madonna started off the tribute with a moving speech that left not a dry eye in the house.
