Many celebs took to their twitter accounts to offer quick blurbs of distaste regarding Kanye West‘s VMA rant in which he stormed the stage after Taylor Swift was awarded with the moon man for Best Female Video for her hit “You Belong With Me,” beating out Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).” Katy Perry said “F-ck you Kanye. It’s like you stepped on a kitten;” Pink ranted “Kanye West is the biggest piece of sh-t on earth. Quote me;” while Chris Brown chimed in with a humorous “See, if he was wearing a bowtie, none of this would have happened.”
But Kelly Clarkson, who was nominated in the same category and beaten by Swift, had a lot more to say. She issued an open letter of sorts to West condemning his actions and his character.
“What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like sh-t,” Clarkson said in an entry on her personal blog.
She continued: “I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh-tty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, -sshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my -sshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you.
The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??”
“I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her…so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an -sshole…I just pity you because you’re a sad human being,” she said.
Clarkson ended her letter with admiration for Beyonce, who allowed Swift to use her stage time during her Video of the Year win to finish her acceptance speech, and some supportive words for Swift. “On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!
Taylor Swift, you outsell him ….that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!”
West has since apologized — sorta — for his rant via his Kanye Univercity blog.

Wow.. I really like his music, I mean as a musician he’s talanted. As a far as personality though.. I think the fame has definately gone to his head, he should either get off the meds or get a psych. He had absolutely no right to do what he did.*** He is a grown ass man who made a nineteen year old girl cry, during what would have been one of the best moments in her life. Honestly..it just gives a bad name to all African-Americans. He went up there and represented us in the worst way possible, showing himself to be an ignorant, drunk, sad, pathetic, waste of humanity. But really, props to Beyonce, her response really turned it around. It’s exactly as everyone said “classy.” I honestly did not like her video for Single Ladies, I thought it was tasteless. But she really improved my opinion of her exponentially. Congrats to Taylor and Beyonce, you both handled a very bad situation flawlessly and while both your nights were usurped by his thoughtless actions, know that your fans still support and love the both of you.

What gets me about this constant KANYE HAS APOLOGIZED is every time he apologizes, he follows it up with Beyonce had the best video of all times, which then nul and voids the apology !!! I youtubed both the songs in question, & while l think Beyonce’s singing is the bomb, as is Taylor Swifts.. there was no comparison to those 2 videos, sorry Beyonce but your video was simply dancing.. it didn’t tell the songs story like Taylor’s did she won her award fair & square.. But what a gracious Lady Beyonce is to have brought Talor back on stage to regain her moment.. Kudo’s to you Beyonce !!
