New Video: Amerie – Heard ‘Em All

It’s great when a fairly unknown video director (Anthony Mandler) gets their big break working for a mega star (Rihanna). They form a great working relationship and they continue working together on numerous projects. The look and feel of the videos they produce together becomes almost synonyms with the star so it would be smart to change it up when working with another, right?

Unfortunately, this was not the case when r&b star Amerie recruited the now hot director for the video to her new single Heard “Em All. The look and feel of the video closely resembles Rihanna’s Disturbia. Same moody lighting, same scene transition effects. It’s all too deja vu.

What Amerie’s video does have that is different is some dancing! Amerie breaks out her super stanky leg and gets all sexy on everybody with her backing dancers.

Heard ‘Em All is lifted from Amerie’s new album, In Love and War, that hits stores November 3rd.

Umm..I dont agree. Maybe the lighting is similar but the whole video is very different. Its more out doors and has way more action. I like it.

    Yes I disagree too.
Disturbia was more like zombiesh and evil and kind of scary monster theme. The Heard’Em All video is more Mad Maxish and kind like the end of the world warrior. I just loved it and Amerie is overa and always giving you something different.
    Kisses boo!
