Keri Hilson Covers Mr. Hudson And Kanye West For BBC’s Live Lounge
Singer/songwriter Keri Hilson is starting to get really good at their cover song thing. When she performed for Pepsi Smash in July, she performed an awesome cover of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” and now she’s giving G.O.O.D. Music Records upstart Mr. Hudson’s “Supernova,” which features Kanye West, the reinvention treatment.
Performing on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, Keri didn’t stick to the song’s original futuristic alt-pop direction at all. Instead, she infused the song with tons of soul and reggae, even a dash of gospel, and ended up with a version she could easily have a hit with.
