It’s the day Chris Brown fans (and staunch critics) have been waiting for: Breezy will release his first post-assault case single.
The 20-year-old R&B/pop star revealed on his Twitter page that he would be premiering his new single, the Lil Wayne-featured track, “Transformer,” via Ustream tomorrow (September 29). He originally planned on dropping the cut a day later, but moved it up.
“CHANGE OF PLANS: IM GOING TO RELEASE MY SINGLE TOMORROW INSTEAD OF WEDS. TELL EVERYBODY… I CAN TRANSFORM YA, I CAN TRANSFORM YA. LOL,” he tweeted.
The Swizz Beatz-produced single — which is the first from his third album, Graffiti –Â is no doubt going to be a make or break release for Brown, who found himself not only losing big endorsements following his assault on his former girlfriend, pop star Rihanna, but also a few fans. Others are sticking with him because they feel he’s capable of offering music good enough to overshadow his troubles, so it’s pertinent that this single perform well.
Breezy’s not ignorant to that fact. Pony-backing on his announcement he tweeted: “I need all the fans to download it on itunes and request it at radio.. u make the choice and u have the power to bring me back.. team cb.”
At least one radio station will definitely be playing “Transformer.” Chris is set to headline Power 105.1 FM’s Powerhouse concert in New Jersey on October 27. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.

He has more to offer than most of the talentless singers. It really don’t matter what a few think of him,he will be back. What I have come to realize is that most of the negative post come from non supporters, people who didn’t know who he was, never heard of him until the incident or people who did know him but didn’t buy his music. Like it or not… they will download, buy his music and come out to see him perform. People get over it, hes not going anywhere…
