Halloween hasn’t even arrived yet, but already we’re thinking about Christmas time thanks to David Archuleta and the smooth sounds of his first Christmas album, Christmas From The Heart.
The set will be released on October 13, and due to the awesomeness of the internet fans can preview the album right now — if only in 30-second clips.
The holiday season is sure to be sweeter than those sugar cookies you’ll steal from Santa’s plate when you’re listening to David’s spin on classics like “Silent Night,” “Joy To The World,” and “The First Noel.” There’s even a soul-stirring duet of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” between David and Charice Pempengco, the 17-year-old powerhouse vocalist from the Philippines who won the world over when she went from YouTube sensation to making Oprah cry with her talent. A new classic will be born with “Melodies of Christmas,” a heart-warming song co-written by David and his father, Jeff Archuleta.

The snippets are unbelivable, I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like listening to the entire songs. I love that they didn’t “over produce” this album, there is no need to, not when you have a gifted artist like David Archuleta singing the songs. I think the duet with Charice is going to be a huge hit too! I would love to see the two of them perform the song live, that would really be a treat. I predict that Christmas will be arriving WAAAAYYYYY early this year! I think we are looking at a future holiday classic! Go David, you deserve any success that comes your way!

I like the quiet strength of this CD, from the snippets I heard. Simplicity appears to be the word. I suspect I may have to pre order to ensure I get enough for my Christmas list.
Maybe it’s just my computer but on my system that’s a pretty noisy copy of the original clips. There are a much better Youtubes of the clips. my old favorite classic Christmas cd was by Johhny Mathis, David’s voice has that soothing quality. This may be my new favorite classic Christmas cd. Sounds very promising!
These are just snippets, so it’s hard to tell (I remember having definite favorites from the snippets of his pop album — and when I head the entire song all of my favorites changed) but already I love, love, love several of these songs. Can’t wait for Christmas in mid-October!

Thanks to David Archuleta, this Christmas is going to be very special for me and it already started today with his Christmas album preview :) those are only snippets of the songs and they sound beautiful! I just can imagine how exquisite the whole album is! I can’t wait to listen to to it. David’s heavenly and gorgeous voice makes each song special and beautiful; I’m excited for “Melodies of Christmas”. Only a few days left to listen to this work of art! David Archuleta is simply THE BEST!

I always hate “snippets”, it’s so hard to judge from them. What I do know is that David sounds wonderful here and I just know the full songs will blow me away. David has never let me down and I will NEVER let him down. Can’t wait for the cd!!!

Wow, I can’t wait to hear each entire song. David really knows how to build a song and pull us in. Also, I can’t wait to hear the whole duet with Charice. She sounded beautiful and hearing David come in toward the end of this piece really makes me want to hear them totally singing together! That’s going to be a real hit!!
I cannot wait for the Christmas album. I don’t think October is to early for its release. I want to enjoy it as much as possible. I love the simplicity of the songs and the pure voice of David. It will be a treasure to behold!

David Archuleta is changing a lot of people musically and spiritually. I have already ordered my COPIES of this amazing “Christmas from the Heart” CD. The small clips of the songs are increditable and they are just a few seconds.

Oh my gosh…I heard snippets of David Archuleta’s Christmas album yesterday…I’ll be starting to celebrate the holidays on Oct 13! the album release date. Can’t wait to run to the store and grab a bunch of copies for myself and my favorite friends!!! I just love David Archuleta and think he is an amazing singer / songwriter.
