When you’re missing something as important as your voice, sometimes the show just can’t go on.
Paramore has announced that their scheduled performance at the Hollywood Palladium tonight (October 1) in Los Angeles will be postponed.
No official reason was given for the postponement, but frontwoman Hayley Williams told the crowd at their kick-off show in Pomona, CA that she had gotten ill a week prior to the tour starting. That statement was made apparent when Williams was unable to take the stage for the encore and the audience graciously filled in, singing along to their hit “Misery Business.”
“I need my voice back,” Williams tweeted the morning after the concert. “Thanks to all our amazing fans in Pomona for singing for me last night.” Later on in the day she said she was visiting a doctor about her vocal cords.
There is currently no information available on exactly when the Los Angeles date will be rescheduled, but Williams promises they’ll be there. “LA, so sorry bout tonight. We will be back for you!”
