Adam Lambert Talks “2012″ Single “Time For Miracles” In New Video Preview

The producers for the upcoming end of the world flick 2012 must have had the same thought racing through their minds as I did when watching American Idol this season: Adam Lambert’s voice would work perfectly on a soundtrack. Judging by the new preview of the song Time For Miracles from the movie’s soundtrack, we were right!
“We wanted to match how epic the film is,” Adam said of the single. “We want the song to really reach out and grab people by the heart.” With its mix of chilling movie clips and Adam’s stellar voice soaring in the background, we’re hooked on the movie and song just by this brief preview!
A second, shorter snippet of the song has also been making its way around the internet.
Adam’s debut album is set for release November 24th on RCA Records.

I love Adam, but enough with the Elvis comparisons. We are becoming an embararssment. Sorry, but its true. It is a generic movie soundtrack theme made special only by Adam’s vocals imo. But fans, no more Elvis/Beatles or “I’m 65 and never been so excited…..” perlease – it does Adam no favours.
All JVS meant was that Adam is on his way to becoming HUGE, and I totally agree with him. I’ve never heard a singer with such range and versatility in my life.
AdamFan – Although I’m as excited as the next ‘Glambert,’ I agree it really does Adam no favors to get others riled up with the Elvis/Beatles/MJ comparisons of his epicness. But honestly, the first time I viewed this yesterday… just brought me to tears. We have waited so long… and I love Adam singing rock ballads. However, this is not reflective of how his new album is going to sound and was a totally separate project. Personally, I love disaster flicks and look forward to seeing the movie! :)
I know folks, Adam really is IT as far as I am concerned too and have dents in my wallet to prove it – all us fans that have been touched by Adam are really excited, but I just think we should comment in these things in a calmer way. We are attracting so much flack outside our Adam bubble for being so OTT. He sings this song well – as only Adam can – but from the snippet it seems like the sort of music reserved for the coronation song of AI – just a little cheesy. I will reserve full judgement till I hear the full song. But I have great hopes for Adam’s own music. Adam will do just fine, he has great support from his fans, and it is warming to read the supportive comments everywhere – just lets try to be a bit conscious of the more OTT things we say, just not to embarrass Adam as I worry he won’t be taken seriously that is all.
I’m with you, Adam fan. If I were a celebrity, some of the comments made by fans of Adam would scare me! I was never into Elvis, and the comparison is nonsense. As difficult as this for some to believe, Adam Lambert is a person. Okay, a great-looking person with charisma and crazy talent. And he appears to be as nice as he is talented. I’d be willing to bet that he isn’t comfortable with some of the hero-worship fans are bombarding him with. I wouldn’t be. Some fans do need to tone it down a bit, and show more class and respect. He deserves that.
The other thing… is experiencing Adam live. All the Youtube tour concert videos cannot capture what it is like to experience his performances live. The only way I can describe that voice is ethereal. And his ’swagger’ – hard not to make the Elvis comparisons… lol.
Adam is brillant!! There are no words to describe him. Chills went up and down my back every time I replayed this. Whoever made the decision on picking Adam to perform this song, knew what they were doing. The song is beautiful!
OMG….There is only one word to describe this…..ADAM. Adam, Adam, Adam, no one could have performed this better. He is the next big thing.
I have to say, Adam has sung this song brilliantly. I think this is gonna be an epic song and we’ll be hearing it for years. Can’t wait to hear the whole thing. Definitely will be on the top of my ipod list. Go Adam!!

It is really cool to see Adam Lambert taking a big step away from season eight of American Idol. He will get a lot of recognition for this 2012 song. It sounds like it will be a song that different kinds of people will like. I never thought I’d see a artist like him come out of American Idol–but I’m glad he did.

Not sure how much I will love the song, can’t get the full effect from this little bit. One thing I can say is that Adam’s vocals are killer!! I can’t wait till we can hear the whole thing. I also can’t wait for his CD to see what else he does. I think we can expect a lot of different things from Adam over the years because he can do essentially anything!! Adam’s voice is remarkable!! That is Adam Lambert.The greatest gift to us all.That precious voice of his is the one and only.I am listening over and over , even those couple minutes of the song make me so happy.Here I am , the biggest fan of Adam.
Idol fans always amaze me. I am a fan of David Cook but I don’t revere him as the best thing ever. David Archuleta, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Bo Bice…. these fans I have encountered can’t see outside of their fave’s circle of fans. They are obnoxious when they comment on blog sites and always insult other artists to raise their favorite up. As exhibited here, they make ridiculous comparisons between these newbies with artists much more successful and prominent than their faves after having accomplished very little. Adam Lambert is very talented but Elvis? The Beatles? How limited is your musical taste if between the many years of music to pass since these ICONS have emerged, the only time you got excited is when Adam Lambert came along? I am not excusing David Cook fans because some of us do it too but this is unabashed insanity!
As for the song in question, Adam’s voice shines on what we can hear, but the song sounds like a watered down version of Don’t Want To Lose A Thing by Aerosmith.
Adam is truely BRILLIANT. I think he will do greaat in the music area. He is a great singer and I cant say anything else because I am speechless. Adam is a great person in and out and I think no matter what… he will be great. I think he had the best song for 2012 because the part of the song I’ve heard just comes out as a tragidy hit…and yes thats a compliment. I think Adam is whats going to make that film one of the most popular and I bet when it comes out…I will be one of the first in the door to see it.

I can’t wait to hear Adam’s amazing voice fill the theater and for all the non-Idol fans to figure out what we Glamberts already know. Adam IS the next big thing!!!
Adam sings this song well, but I have heard better epic soundtrack songs. Not a diss on Adam since he didn’t write it, but I find it funny how many people were bashing Kris Allen for not writing his first single release. But it is ok for Adam. Sounds like a double standard to me. I think LLWD is more catchy than ATFM. That is just my opinion. But it doesn’t matter since neither singer wrote the songs.
First, TFM is not Adam’s single. He was asked to do the movie sound track, which is different than Kris’s first single. Second, when we compare him to Elvis MJ, or the Beatles, It is not their vocals or music, but he like them came on the scene and excited the world because they were innovative and got people excited about music in a way that no one else did. Adam is unique in today’s music world. He does it his way and we love it. His voice, range and interpretation of a song is like no one else. I have been playing his TFM preview over and over and over again and cannot get enough. Anything he sings is magic. The excitement he brings to so many people makes me know he will have a world-wide fame. He says he knows he is over the top and so are we his fans. We love his talent and him and express it in everything we do. I have never and will never put other musical artist down in comparing them to Adam, but please don’t put me down for being as excited as I am about how talented Adam is. He is the whole package and I am sure will be iconic.
Two of favorite things together. Disaster flicks and Adam Lambert. What a combo!! Get wait for November. The movie 2012 and then Adam’s cd!! Gonna be a great Nov.!!!!
