Don’t tell Kanye West, but Taylor Swift could snatch far more awards at this year’s American Music Awards than she did at VMAs.

The nominations for the 2009 AMAs are in and Taylor is the leading lady. Actually, she’s the overall leading artist with six noms. She’s the queen of the country genre categories, being nominated for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Country Album for her smash sophomore set, Fearless.

Thanks to her crossover appeal, she’s also nominated for Favorite Pop/Rock Female (where she’ll go head to head with Beyonce and Lady GaGa), Favorite Pop/Rock Album, Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist.

The coveted Artist of the Year category could be a tough one for Swift as she’s up against a surprise nomination: Michael Jackson.

The King of Pop scored five posthumous nominations. Along with Artist of the Year, he’s up for Favorite Pop/Rock Male, Favorite Soul/R&B Male, Favorite Soul/R&B Album and Favorite Pop/Rock Album for his 2003 set Number Ones.

The 2009 American Music Awards air Sunday, November 22 at 8pm EST/7pm CST.

Michael deserves it! There is a blog about Michael and the unreleased Dangerous track ‘Work That Body’ from the writer/producer of this track and artist, Bryan Loren. He’s incredible. He also wrote and produced a lot of the other unreleased Michael tracks that are floating around. As well, he wrote and produced ‘Do The Bartman’ for The Simpsons. Michael sings backup with him on that. I love that track. There is also an unreleased track he wrote and produced by Janet from Rhythm Nation called ‘Work’. Loren’s work is excellent. He’s cute too. Michael deserves every one of the awards he is nominated and more. And, if not for the years of villification by the media and what amounted in effect to legal persecution by Tom Sneddon; he would be here to receive them in person.

    Msy I digress?

If anyone is interested in wanting to know the truth, like I was several months ago when – in shock at my reaction to Michael Jacksons death, I first started looking behind the haze of hyperbole I have been force-fed for years via newspapers, TV networks and tabloid feeders like Smoking Gun about Michael – I received a rude and shattering awakening. There is a reason why a depth charge of grief and anger has ignited in the hearts of millions, if not billions of people around the world – some of whom were not die-hard fans, as well as those of course, who are. I invite – no, urge anyone who wants to at least talk about possibilties; to read Mary A. Fischers award-winning article ‘Was Michael Jackson Framed’,read ‘ The Michael Jackson Conspiracy’ by Aphrodite Jones, also read Geraldine Hughes ‘Redemption’, and to visit thesilencedtruth website. On this website please take the time to look over the comments in the ‘Remember’ section – in particular Cory Rooney’s. For seemingly obvious reasons, a well-researched and successful extortion attempt by one man, Evan Chandler, a man who is now forcibly and legally estranged from his son, and who from copious statements from witnesses involved in the circumstances of the time has been described as a self-serving, opportunistic predator who cared little for his own son – and even less for the truth- was given vast legal credence by Tom Sneddon and his department even though his son (Jordy) had to be drugged before he would changed his mind about not being abused.

When one looks behind the hysteria induced by Diane Dimond, Maureen Orth, The Smoking Gun and countless others who put ratings and copy before a human life, you end up with more of a collection of compelling questions than answers, and a more than seriously uneasy feeling of something being not quite ‘right’ about the sheer level of engineered cruelty involved. In years to come, perhaps reasons will emerge from the rubble as to why a supernovic talent with a history of unparalleled giving and a persona of complex innocence, was consistently and wilfully humiliated, tortured and stripped of his dignity and spirit for a period of over 15 years, on the basis of such astonishingly non-credible accusations – and more importantly why this was actively encouraged. These days everybody has an opinion about Michael Jackson – myself included, but it cannot be denied that the potent, heady mix of newly syndicated televison networks and online tabloids all fighting for their share of white hot media glare; the lure of fantastical amounts of money and good old fashioned human greed – came together to produce one mother of a takedown.

A way will be no doubt found to vindicate Michael in time, but it must be remembered that telling the truth is hard for some people, especially when they know they would effectively be opening the door to the media’s gaze. I ask all of us now to do stop buying into the thought that we are powerless – and instead, do something very powerful. An intention has been set in effect. And everyone who wants to, is being asked to – ‘Hold The Vision’ of this intention:

‘That the truth of Michael’s integrity and the innocence of his relationships with children will be unequivocally proved and known by all – in our lifetime.’

When you think of Michael, re-affirm that intention in your mind and in your heart. Put all the desire you have for the successful unfolding of this vision into this intention. If the millions who love Michael do this daily, we will do more to affect change than we could ever imagine.
