Countdown clock on RihannaNow.com
You gotta hand it Rihanna. She knows how to keep her fans wondering.
First there was the mysterious tweet that said “the wait is ova,” seemingly signaling the release date of her long awaited fourth album for November 23 (it’s since been confirmed that her new album will indeed come out that day). Now her official website, RihannaNow.com, has set up a countdown clock.
But countdown to what?
The site makes no mention of exactly what is supposed to happen when the clock reaches zero across the board (at press time, that would be on Tuesday, October 20), but it’s easy to assume that is when her new single will drop.
Even though Rihanna and co. are being extremely tight-lipped about the project, at least a few goodies are coming out. On Friday (October 16), Rihanna was spotted shooting the video for the song, title still unknown, in New York City, clad in thigh-high stockings and an eye patch.
Rihanna’s working with a who’s who of writers and producers on the album — yes, title still unknown — including Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, Tricky Stewart and Stargate. It will be the follow-up to her international smash album Good Girl Gone Bad, released in June of 2007.
