New Music: Adam Lambert – Time For Miracles

Big budget movies need to have an equally big theme song to cement its full-circle blockbuster worthiness. The disaster flick 2012 has got a monster hit from its soundtrack on its hands with “Time For Miracles,” performed by American Idol season 8′s electrifying glam-rocker Adam Lambert.

If the previews of the movie evoke memories of the 1998 blockbuster Armageddon, it’s easy to understand why “Time For Miracles’ could dredge up feelings of “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” the smash theme from that movie, performed by Aerosmith.

Comparisons aside, Adam proves why he made it so far on Idol, and probably proves further why he would have made more than a formidable winner. His voice soars, eliciting chills with every whimper, coo, and wail. He builds vocal suspense perfectly, preparing you for the eargasmic climax.

Put on the backburner any feelings you have about the cheese factor of the song — which was written by Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneide and pay close attention to Adam’s voice. It’s gold. Enough said.

Journalists may want to be weary about calling the song cheesy without knowing the background of the song. Natashia wrote it while she was dying of cancer. She has since passed. Now listen to the lyrics again but from the point of view of it being written by someone dying of cancer. It takes on a whole new meaning.

  2. sharon says:

That “cheese factor” you speak of, was written by a woman who was dying of cancer. Put yoursellf in her shoes, now does it sound cheesy??????Don’t think so!!

  3. Alyson says:

That is sad. I don’t find the song cheesey but I understand that every song can not be judge on the back story.

Adam’s voice is a precious gem!

  4. Marsha says:

Alain Johannes, who cowrote this song with Natasha Shneider, had been the love of her life for 13 years. They both knew that she was dying but hoped for a miracle. That story combined with the beauty of Adam’s voice, makes my eyes tear.

  5. Lindajean139 says:

His voice is just so incredible. That’s why I am a big fan of his. It’s that voice and that range. You just don’t hear it in music today. Everything is so boring and vanilla and average and along comes Adam to shake things up!! His vocals are pure and stand on their own. If you listen to half the artists today sing outside the studio they sound horrible. They are studio produced. Adam is the real deal.

  6. Nicole says:

All 3 singles (Adam, Kris, and Allison) sucks. But this is the worst of them all.

  7. mryann says:

This is definitely not a cheesy song. And Adam Lambert did more than justice to the song. Adam is a superb singer and hearing him sing the soundtrack sends chills down my spine!!!

  8. Bruce k says:

Even better than I expected. That guy can sing like no other. Looking forward to his CD next month. Glad he’s finally away from AI and doing so well on his own.

  9. liz says:

Adam Lambert’s vocals on this track are simply amazing. He will be a worldwide star with a voice like this. love the song too!!

  10. terie says:

I think this song is absolutely BEAUTIFUL & ADAM sings it PERFECTLY with all the pathos and emotion that are reflected in the lyrics. RockStarWeekly has the lyrics as well as the song and ADAM’s rendition evokes tears and chills when you combine the two. NO ONE ELSE could sing this song like ADAM … you can feel the POWER as well as HEAR it. GREAT SONG! POWERFUL LYRICS!
    BRILLIANT SINGER! BRAVO! ADAM!!
BTW Nicole: I’d have my hearing checked if I were you! JMO

  13. todd says:

Oh, so mow we’re supposed to feel guilty for saying the song is cheesy because the person who wrote it was dying? SORRY, IT’S CHEESY.

  14. Cate says:

I love the song, can’t get it out of my head. Adam’s vocals at the end give me the chills, I hope it’s a huge hit for him.

  15. cherch says:

Love it!!! Adam is amazing. Can’t wait to see the movie with the song..

  16. Bern3755 says:

Adam Lambert, the Glittery Alien sent from heaven, what a voice. I just can’t get enough.

  17. Janis says:

The vocals on this song are stunning!! I don’t care what you think of movie songs and whether you want to view them with a cynical, “cheesy” vview. This song is touching and Adam’s vocals are remarkable!!!

  18. Lila Bianca says:

Oh boy… I had multiple eargasms and body sensations whilst listening to it… can’t wait to have a copy of the single for my collection. You rock my world, Adam!!!

  19. Muzikfan says:

The song is very well written and the vocal is amazing. Simon said he wanted an international star and Adam is. This song is being released abroad and is available in Belgium already. What I love about this son is that it is a song of hope and later I read that it was written by a woman with cancer. This is a great song to bring Adam into the industry. It is original and very memorable. I bet when it is available on Amazon, it will prove in sales it’s worth. Also, Adam has a way of bringing whatever he sings to life with the right emotion that does strike a person. I know that ther is so much mention on his sexual preference, but so many artist that are huge in the industry are like him and believe me, people buy the albums. I know this for sure because I work in sales of cd’s and I know from the pre-orders for Adam that he is the newest sensation that will last. I also can tell the Kris fans, GO BUY HIS CD..THE CD IS FAILING IN SALES. sO WITH THAT SAID, THERE IS NO REASON TO BASH BUT TO USE CASH AND BUY KRIS’ CD.

  20. Angel says:

Simply STUNNING! Hauntingly beautiful! I just wish that the co-writer of the song Natasha lived to hear how ADAM interpreted the song so PERFECTLY! She must be smiling heavenly. Her song will live long through ADAM’s giving life to it. BRAVO!

  21. JA says:

Adam Lambert is amazing. This song is amazing! The lyrics are meaningful too. I don’t understand why people keep condemning song lyrics these days. Everything seems to be too cheesy? As if you could come up with much better lyrics.

  22. kika says:

I think he did a fine job but it’s not gonna be like “i don’t wanna miss a thing”. They should’ve given it to David Cook. the song suits him better.

  23. zoom says:

I agree with Lindajean. The difference between Lambert and just about everyone else today, is that he can really sing! He sounds the same live as he does on a recording. Everyone else (in music) uses studio tricks to help their voice sound better for recording but when you hear them live–it’s not the same because it’s been fixed for the CD.

Adam Lambert doesn’t have to use any studio tricks because he has natural powerful vocal octaves and can sing anything not only technically but he also puts emotions into it. So, what you get on a CD is the same thing you’ll get in a live concert and that is rare. That is one of the things that make him so exciting as a performer. You cannot argue with natural talent.

Allison has the same ability and talent. Live or recorded–she is the real deal.

  24. ianaleah says:

This single from the 2012 soundtrack is great and I know Adam will be releasing another single in Nov as well- the one from his album. He is outstanding and we fans are addicted and obviously the resentful jealous loser fans are obsessed with everything Adam as well. Ha ! I like Allison’s single too.

  25. jen says:

adam’s voice is amazing and the song along with the backstory is very moving. I can’t wait to hear it through an excellent sound system!

  26. LILIA ARBUZOVA says:

I ordered Adam Lambert’s single from Amazon. Amazon sent me a CD on which is written Adam Lambert. I immidiately started to play it and…I could not believe my ears – instead of Adam Lambert performance Amazon forced me to listen to some vulgar, insulting Adam Lambert garbage by some worthless’s paltry individual, hoarsely singing. I have no doubts, somebody is envies to Adam Lambert’s talent and recognition over the world. Dirty, pitiful, suffering with declining mental degeneration types! Tomorrow I will return this CD to Amazon. Shame on Amazon! If someone have received the same garbage, please return it immediately. I think, we can prosecute Amazon for spreading dirt to us and our children! I think Adam must sue Amazon!

I think people more have a problem with the fact that he is gay, which baffles me because someone can be gay and try to make it big and everyone’s jaw drops but all the stupid ass celebrities in hollywood get away with anything and everything.

  28. LaviFelina says:

Adam is pure perfection, he is the only artist today that could handle a song like that. He is destined for mega superstardom. Not only a magnificent voice, but a beautiful human being, Love you Adam, you rock on all levels!!

The video for ‘Time for Miracles’ is on myspace.com/music. It is outstanding to watch and hear. ADAM does a magnificent job both vocally and visually … and the lyrics are beautiful IMO. No one could have done as good a job on this video … not even David Cook … David’s voice is not powerful enough or smooth enough. David can sing but ADAM can SING!!! BRAVO!! ADAM!! Another HOME RUN!!!

I just got the 2012 movie tonite. sat down and watched. excellent movie. then I decided to listen to the song(s) at the end. Hmmm…really nice melody and lyrics. Then the more I listened, the more I fell in love with this song. And the voice..well strangely I kept listening, wow…this guy sounds like Adam Lambert but I’m not completely sure..if it isnt this guy has an excellent set of vocal chords! So I finally clicked on paused and there the words were..”performed by Adam Lambert”. You just cant mistake talent like that. I then went to his website and got into the other hits. All spell binding.
I dont care if he is gay. I love his dancing and voice. He is handsome and has an Elvis type look to him.
