The wait is nearly ova.
Today at 11:23 AM EST, Rihanna will premiere her brand new single on her official website, RihannaNow.com.
Anticipation for the track is extremely high, partly due to the pop diva’s record label Def Jam’s immensely mysterious promotional tactics.
It all started on October 13 when Rihanna’s official Twitter account tweeted “The wait is ova. Nov 23 09.” A few days later, her official website updated with a countdown clock. It never mentioned exactly what we’d all be counting down to, but it was safe to assume it was the debut of her long-awaited single.
Last night, just hours before the premiere of the single, Rih tossed fans a bone by releasing a mouth-watering teaser for the new song, which sounds like an urban-grunge concoction. A small piece of the chorus can be heard while incredibly fierce pictures of the 21-year-old star flashes across the screen. It’s edgy on a new level and she knows it. “It’s just the way the game is played…..wait your turn,” she tweeted with a link to the vid.
