Music’s reigning royal couple Beyonce and Jay-Z brought the house down with their performances at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards, held tonight in Berlin, Germany.
Beyonce performed her latest hit, “Sweet Dreams,” dressed in sexy red lingerie. That time she spent shooting the “Video Phone” video with Lady GaGa has obviously inspired her a bit. Her dancers wore red hooded pieces, much like an ensemble we’ve seen GaGa rocking early in her career. Still, the only thing hotter than her costume was her performance, which was part crunk club, part theatre production.
Jay kept his performance pretty simple. Bringing a little NYC to Berlin, he performed “Empire State of Mind” with an Alicia Keys fill-in.
