New Music: Lady GaGa – Dance In The Dark

Lady GaGa is all about making musical art and experimenting with her electro-pop sound but she never strays too far away from the formula that made her a house hold name on her debut album The Fame.
In the new song Dance In The Dark, taken from The Fame Monster, the expanded edition of her debut, Lady GaGa blends elements of techno, electronica, and dance on top of her signature electro-pop sound for a song that is truly single worthy.
Dance In The Dark is one of eight new songs that will be featured on The Fame Monster. She says the songs are completely different in subject matter than anything you can find on The Fame.
“I didn’t write about fame. I didn’t write about money. I didn’t write about celebrities. I didn’t write about any of those things,” she told 106 & Park hosts Rocsi and Terrence J during a recent appearance. “I wrote about fear and I wrote about love. I wrote about loneliness and I wrote about all these monsters. â€
The Fame Monster will be released on November 23.

I thank you for this. Times a million. :)
I constantly defend the betch; I love her. She has given the Gay community so much more support then anyone recently. <3
Whats wrong with her , i had actually planned on buying this album over Rihanna’s but listening to this song..theres no way i buying it…You lost 1 copy gaga
I dont get it… not trying to be all mean and such. but i dont see how she has a problem. i like the song. i just want to know what you think is wrong with it. no offense or hard ffelings i hope…. :)
Um..I believe you have mis-judged our fair Lady. See what people like you think that she is a glam-whore like Britney. She’s MAKING FUN OF POP CULTURE IN THE FAME, and to be quite frank, she’s probably making fun of people who follow it so closely.
The Fame Monster is total and utter ‘true GaGa’. She aspires to legends as Klaus Nomi, Freddie Mercury, somewhat Madonna and David Bowie. I give the entire album a 10/10 for expressing true artwork, unbiased by the record label or what’s normal or popular. It goes against her style. Go to the Monster Ball and you will know.

Great Blog. I have a music blog too at http://ya-music.blogspot.com , breaking music news, videos, reviews and more every day. Thanks.
If you don’t get the song, then your not listening.
Years of meaningless pop must have dulled your senses.
Throughout the song, she speaks of girls… girls who are abused mentally by their boyfriends. They’re too ashamed, and are forced to “dance in the dark” which is a metaphor for being to ashamed to be yourself in everyday light.
It also pays homage to women, strong women, all who died before their time. Wherever they are, they are still dancing.
Judy Garland. Marilyn Monroe. Sylvia Plath. Princess Diana. Jonbenet Ramsey.
It’s deep. It’s heavy. It’s pop music, at it’s finest.
