Adam Lambert delivered an already infamous eye-popping performance at the AMAs Sunday, but he won’t get the chance to do the same for the early-risers watching GMA.
ABC has canceled Lambert’s concert appearance on Wednesday’s Good Morning America, and it is directly related to his performance on the American Music Awards, USA Today confirmed.
“Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning,” a rep for the network told USA Today.
According to Reuters, the network received over 1,500 complaints about the racy performance, where the openly gay rockstar pushed a dancer’s face into his crotch and made out with a male band member.
It’s being rumored that Adam will have a chance to perform an early morning concert for his fans, but on CBS’s Early Show. These reports have not been confirmed.
Wednesday won’t be all sad for Glamberts. His taped performance at the Late Show with David Letterman is scheduled to air that night.

Come on…did anyone look at the other performers at the AMA? Not so very different. It’s all about the sex–simulated or not. Lambast Lambert? I don’t think so…not unless you make it a wider net.
Look to the music industry and the public that it serves, if you’re into casting stones. If you don’t want provacative sex served up with your melodies, don’t buy the music. Otherwise, JQ Public, you’re just getting what you asked for, so drop the self-righeous pretense.
