The launch of Rihanna‘s new album Rated R marks the launch of a brand new woman. She’s blonde, she’s fearless, and she’s oh-so candid.
The 21-year-old star paid a visit to New York radio station Hot 97 for an interview with Angie Martinez and gave one of the most interesting interviews she’s given to date.
Almost no topic was off limits. She spoke only briefly about being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, saying she was over the situation and the relationship, and saved most of the interview for revealing lighter things, like her obsession with boobs.
She was asked if her best friend Melissa appeared with in photos where she was grabbing another girl’s breasts, but she couldn’t be sure exactly what set of photos Martinez was talking about. “There are a ton of those pictures. I grab boobies all the time. I’m obsessed,” she proclaimed. “I don’t have much, so any time I see a good rack, I’m like ‘Wow! I wish mine looked and felt like that.’” ‘She also put to rest nagging rumors that she and Melissa are an item. “She wishes,” she joked.
She also owned up to the set of nude photos that leaked of her last May, calling them “the hot ones.” “They should be hot, they were for my boyfriend at the time. If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him.” As nonchalant as she sounded about the images, she admitted the leak was “humiliating and embarrassing.”
Other topics she touched on were her interview with Diane Sawyer and how she did not do it to destroy Chris Brown’s career (“There are more creative ways of doing that”), the control and insecurity issues she saw in her relationship with Chris, inspiring young girls, but not feeling like a victim, and the numerous dating rumors.
