Adam Lambert found himself getting the boot from ABC’s Good Morning America concert series, but CBS says it’s their loss.
The rival network has grabbed the breakout star of American Idol season 8 to perform for their early morning concert series on The Early Show and talk about his controversial American Music Awards performance.
Lambert was supposed to perform on GMA tomorrow morning, but ABC feared he would duplicate his raunchy AMA performance, which included simulated oral sex and a male-on-male make out session, and pulled the plug. “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning,†a rep for ABC said in a statement.
The performance upset many viewers, prompting at least 1,500 complaints to ABC, reports Reuters.
Tune in tomorrow to see Adam perform for The Early Show in support of his debut album, For Your Entertainment, at 7a.m. EST.

Lambert abused the opportunity given to him on the Music Awards, and instead showcased an UN-CONTROLLABLE, Immature, child screaming for attention! AGAIN, where were the Adults with the “Delay” buttons?! HE and shows directors, producers, etc. insulted the responsible ‘Basic’ Channel watching Audience, Parents, and responsible Adults who are trying to keep some resemblance of decency and respect in this Country and Planet! And if LAMBERT wants to call it art… WHY DIDN’T HE CONCENTRATE ON HIS SINGING? IT WAS HORRIBLE!!
Good job GMA/ABC! Shame on you CBS. What was Lambert thinking (obviously he wasn’t)? the sad thing is, he probably doesn’t realize what he did. It is a shame that someone with talent would stoop to this type of performance. It really was disgusting and to think that families may have been watching. Adam, I thought you were better then that. Your music is not what I like, but I did realize that you had talent but that was over shadowed by your crude performance. And to you CBS, why do you want to bring exposure to this. Can’t you just let it go away. What does that say your you.
Will not be watching CBS, am switching to GMA. They are classy enough to not showcase a porno sleeze like Adam Lambert.
Big kudos to CBS!!! I will be watching Adam perform on CBS tomorrow morning. It’s ABC’s loss. Get used to Adam’s name, people. He is newsworthy at all times, even when he’s out of the box. Censorship and discrimination on GMA’s part, not cool.
Well, you have lost my family we watch everyday without fail, this Adam Lambert is garbage. If your gay fine but I and many others have the choice to watch and we won’t. We are tired of homosexuality being shoved down our throats. Have a nice life.
