Leona Lewis - J Records/Syco Entertainment
Leona Lewis has been tapped to provide the theme song for the James Cameron-directed action/adventure flick “Avatar,” hitting movie theaters on December 18.
The soulful British singer, who recently released her sophomore album, is aiming for the success Celine Dion had with her monster movie soundtrack hit “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic, also directed by Cameron, by teaming up with James Horner and Simon Franglen, the same producers who crafted Dion’s smash.
In the theme, entitled “I See You,” Leona takes her vocals to a whole new level, ensuring that the song will be just as difficult to sing along to as Dion’s classic, but probably doesn’t carry the same emotional weight — at least that’s what can be gathered from the 30-second clip making its way around the internet.

Its only a 30-second clip so I cannot tell how great it sounds, but Leona always delivers. I am enjoying her album Echo so much! Its such a classic album! She is such a talent and a beautiful woman, however I don’t think any artist can top Celine Dion, My Heart Will Go On. That song is such a legendary song. I hope she comes back out!
