Sometimes, it’s OK to just do what you do best and be yourself. If you’re an actress and you’ve displayed a talent for comedic timing, stick to it. Put your all into it. You don’t have to go with the flow and say, release an album. When you’re an actress turned singer for the sake of the corporate powerhouse you work under, it shows. It doesn’t come quite naturally.
This rant describes the issue with Disney starlet Selena Gomez and her newest music video, coincidentally titled Naturally.
It’s clear Selena isn’t a singer. Just a kid making the most of the power behind her at the moment. This painfully catchy song will stay in your head for a few minutes after you’ve played it. But now paired with the cheesy and special effects-laden video clip, it destroys any chance it had at being taken seriously. This is a clip will be played solely on the mouse channel.
Naturally is the second single taken from Selena Gomez and The Scene‘s debut album Kiss And Tell. It is the follow-up to the lead single Falling Down.
I think Selena did good here. Actually better than Falling Down.
