Kid Cudi punched a fan in Vancouver. Now he’s getting kicked… off of Lady GaGa‘s tour.
Sources at Interscope Records tell TMZ today that the Grammy-nominated rapper will no longer perform on GaGa’s The Monster Ball tour, but would not say if the decision to drop him from the lineup was due to his altercation with a fan.
Michael Sharpe, the fan who was attacked, says Cudi was performing when someone threw a wallet on stage. Cudi threw it to Sharpe, but since it wasn’t his, he threw it back to the “Day N Nite” rapper. Cudi became angry, hopped off stage and punched him. The incident was filmed by another concert attendee.
R&B/pop singer Jason DeRulo will join the tour as the opening act on December 28, but contrary to TMZ’s report, DeRulo is not replacing Cudi — he has been confirmed for weeks.
