Taylor Swift Voted The Associated Press’ Entertainer Of The Year

2009 has been an exceptional year for Taylor Swift. She performed around the country on a sold out tour, played host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live, became the first country artist ever to win a VMA, was named entertainer of the year at the CMAs, and sold more albums than anyone.

The year may be winding down, but the accolades for the 20-year-old singer aren’t. The Associated Press announced today (December 21) that the country cutie was named their entertainer of the year.

The honor was voted on by newspaper editors and broadcast producers around the US in a poll of AP members.

Swift graciously accepted the title in a phone interview with AP calling the achievement “so unexpected.” “I am so honored and so excited,” she said.

For 2010 Swift is looking ahead to another leg of her Fearless tour — which has already sold out — and working on a new album.
