We have to admit it, we’re still reeling from the loss of Chris Brown on Twitter, but things are looking up.
Just in time for the new season of American Idol, which premieres January 12 on FOX, the first, and arguably best, Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, has joined the micro-blogging community.
According to the American Idol-focused blog MJ’s Big Blog, the account was confirmed as authentic by Clarkson’s management, although it is currently unverified.
“I promised a few people I would try this twitter thing out. I make no promises, however, that I will say anything worth reading :),” Kelly said in her first tweet.
We beg to differ. Her second tweet came with a snarky revelation and advice to other tweeting musicians: “Note that I made some changes ..because having your album cover as your picture ..well, that’s a sure sign of a tool ….new pic coming soon.”
Her new pic? An old photo of a pint-sized KC squinting in the sunlight. We’re loving this already.
I still wouldn’t believe Kelly has one until she says in a vlog or interview that does or does not have one. It’s kinda weird that “Kelly” posted that blog that she has one on her website but not on her “I Am Kelly” wordpress blog too. A person made up that account last year. Something sounds fishy.

I heard Kelly say that she doesnt Twitter, and she made it sound like she never would. I don’t really believe it. She had said before that someone was impersonating her on Twitter.
