It seem like just yesterday singer Katy Perry and comedian Russell Brand were spotted smooching at a fancy Hollywood party, enjoying the beginning of a relationship. Now, less than four months into the courtship, the pair are ready to make things official.

Representatives for the 34-year-old British actor, mostly known for his two-time stint as MTV Video Music Awards host, confirmed reports that he’s engaged to the pop singer. No word on when and where the couple plan to marry.

Perry and Brand began dating shortly after the MTV awards show in September of 2009 and quickly became a gossip rag and paparazzi dream, often jet-setting to spend quality time together. Just last week, the two headed to India for a romantic holiday getaway. According to US Weekly, who first broke the engagement news, this is where Russell proposed.
