Shontelle - Universal Motown
Thought it would be impossible for Shontelle to make a song as good as her debut hit “T-Shirt”? Well, you’re right — sorta. She actually made something better.
The leggy Barbados-born singer teased fans for months via her Twitter account about a new song called “Licky,” a danceable, radio-ready opus which was rumored to head up her as-yet-untitled sophomore album. Instead, she’s switched gears, giving the UK market “Licky” and blessing current and would-be US fans with the emotional ballad “Impossible.”
Shontelle’s fervent vocals capture the heartbreaking portrait of the ending of a relationship, even if it was for the better, as the sonic atmosphere builds around her. Each drumbeat and synth added wash over the ballad like a wave until the last powerful chord is struck and the opening lyrics are repeated vulnerably: “I remember years ago someone told me I should take caution when it comes to love. I did.”

loves it!!!! =D
