Did you log on to Twitter this morning and see the “Pants On The Ground” trending topic and wonder what the hell that was all about? No, it’s not a topic for you nasty birdies to discussing during Twitter After Dark, it’s actually the title of a hilarious original song performed for the American Idol judges on last night’s audition episode in Atlanta.
62-year-old General Larry Platt became an internet sensation almost instantly when he debuted his heartfelt ditty about these foolish young boys wearing their pants practically, well, on the ground.
Simon Cowell commented that strangely enough he could see the song becoming a hit, and after the remix treatment the song is getting on YouTube, it probably could. Popeater.com put a list together of their favs, but by far the best I’ve heard was this remix produced by Nostalgia and Rasan B, which turned Platt’s song into a full-fledged slow-riding banger. Hear it below:

you go General Larry !!!
General, my sentiments exactly! Those guys wearing those “pants on the ground” should be banned! (The guys and their pants!)
