Jason DeRulo, who gave the pop world the infectious “Whatcha Say,” is back to try to add another chart-topper to his list with “In My Head.”
In the video for the track, DeRulo goes for Michael Jackson‘s “The Way You Make Me Feel” 2010. From his cool stalking of the female love interest — who coincidentally wears an updated version of MJ’s lady’s hair-do — to wearing a blue hoodie in the place of MJ’s blue button-up shirt, to the silhouetted grinding dance moves, JD is serving up MJ.
Perhaps another clue that Jason is after young MJ status is the cover to his debut album — OK, so it isn’t the biggest clue, but the tipped fedora could be an ode to the King of Pop.
See Jason’s video below and MJ’s here to make the comparisons.

dummmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! slenna steep off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@@@@@@@@
ur fucking stupid ok
Well, it certainly has hints of MJ, but that’s MJ via Justin Timberlake. Seriously, this video is a blatant carbon copy of JT’s “Like I Love You” video. Convenience store? Check. Hoodie? Check. Parking lot choreography? Check. And the fedora on the album cover, JT also did on the cover Justified.
As for this video and single, no thanks. It’s like imitation crab meat.
That’s so funny you say that, because I feel the same way. But why credit JT when we know who he was channeling? lol
I think Durello is honoring The Prince of Pop, In his memory you know, I feel he knows he will neva be as good as MJ but if its his way to honor a fallen Hero then let him.
