Maroon 5 recording their new album in Switzerland - maroon5.com
Soulful pop-rockers Maroon 5 are back after a three year hiatus to offer up more delectable pop grooves for a new album set to be released this year.
After relentlessly touring for their last project, 2007′s It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, the five-some went to Switzerland to record new songs with producer Mutt Lange.
In an interview with Billboard.com, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael says Lange pushed the band “really hard.” The hard work paid off. Carmichael says the new sound of the record is “more organic, almost closer to our first record than the last.” For a refresher, their first album, Songs About Jane, produced stunners like “This Love,” “She Will Be Loved,” and “Sunday Morning.”
There’s no set release date for the album as of yet, but in a new trailer for the album, which promises the album will be the “white knuckle thrill-ride of the year,” M5 aims for a spring release.
