Stars stationed in several places in the world turned out to perform during last nights (January 22) global event, “Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief.” The MTV telethon aired live on the cable station, all of its owned entities, every major network and on multiple online outlets like CNN.com, E! Online, YouTube, VEVO and more.
From Alicia Keys playing an extended version of her beautiful Prelude To A Kiss from her smash album As I Am to Shakira delivering her own version of the classic I’ll Stand By You, music stars were willing and able to lend their time and voices to the cause from either New York, Los Angeles or London.
All proceeds from the event will go towards relief efforts in Haiti, the Caribbean nation that has been devastated since a strong 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck nearly two weeks ago.
